Contracts Analyst
Washington, DC
Responsibilities:
Responsible for receiving, reviewing and tracking Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) Test Procedure and EQN Reviews to help keep the paperwork associated with the LPD Acquisition moving and routed to the correct stakeholders within the Navy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Conducting package content pre-reviews to advise the SEM of the package content.
  • Working with document originators to confirm that packages are complete including files, attachments and that they are fully functional prior to SEM formal review.
  • Developing, maintaining and providing weekly status reports.

Requirements:
  • Requires a general understanding of technical disciplines associated with developing:
    • Detailed Design of Ships (hull structures, outfitting, piping, mechanical, electrical and combat systems).
    • Environmental qualification including reviewing    incoming CDRLs and determining review disposition.
    • Familiarity with the NAVSEA TWH structure and their engineering agents.
    • Experience working within a NAVSEA Ship Design Team is a plus.
    • Knowledge of LPD or Amphibious Ship Design is a plus.

  • BS/BA Degree Desired
  • SECRET Security Clearance Required
  • 2 Years of database management experience.
  • Background in ship design, construction and/or acquisition.
  • General knowledge of Navy systems and organizational structure
    • Ship Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS) breakdown structure
    • Ship layout, architecture and nomenclature (FWD/AFT/PORT/STBD, frames, decks. etc.)
    • NAVSEA Organization (TWH, SDM, ISEA and stakeholders in the ship design review process)
    • Familiarity with using an internet-based repository/IDE

  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills Required.
  • Excellent Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
  • Strong Time Management and Organization Skills as an Independent Contributor.
  • Must be US Citizen
